Practice: Warm-up & Drilling Sessions

Warm-Up (indivudual)

1. Skip - Regular skip. Pumping the arms and driving the knees and toes up. 20 yds (18 m)
2. March - Exaggerated skip. Keeping the elbow at a 90 degree angle and driving the knee and toes up. If your right arm goes forward, your left knee should go forward. 20 yds (18 m)
3. Arm Swings - Shuffle laterally while swinging your arms side to side straight over head. 20 yds (18 m)
4. Backward Run - Run backwards while maintaining a forward lean. Make sure you pump your arms and reach back with your feet. 20 yds (18 m)
5. Bounding - Over-exaggerated skip. Try to get both height and distance. 20 yds (18 m)
6. Butt kicks - While maintaining a slight forward lean, with your hands behind you, pull at the turf with your toes and kick your butt with your heels. 20 yds (18 m)
7. Fast Carioca - Moving laterally, cross your right foot over your left and step laterally with your left. Bring your right foot behind the left, step laterally with your left and repeat. Keep your knees bent and shoulders and hips square. 20 yds (18 m). Start with your opposite foot on the way back.
8. Fast Shuffle - Get in a good defensive position with your knees bent and shoulders slightly forward. Take a wide step laterally with your right foot and bring your left foot next to your right. Repeat quickly. 20 yds (18 m). Repeat in both directions.
9. Low and Slow Shuffle - The same as Fast Shuffle only slower with longer and more exaggerated steps. 20 yds (18 m)
10. Power Skips - High skip exaggerating the knee and arm action. 20 yds (18 m)
11. Tin Soldiers - Slow march. Raise right leg straight up to face level while keeping left foot flat on the ground. Keep alternating for 20 yds (18 m).

Group Drills

Group Drill #1
This is a good drill to start a session off and makes a change from simply running widths of the pitch.

1. Have the team make a circle about 20 yards in diameter (roughly the size of the center circle).
2. They should be be arms width apart from the player to their left and right. Place a cone in the center of the circle.
3. Have the players jog in together to the cone then jog backwards to the outer edge of the circle.
4. Vary the runs to the center - high knees, heel flicks, sidestepping, lunge strides, hop on one leg etc. Keep the intensity light.

Group Drill #2
This drill can be used in the middle or towards the end of the soccer warm up.

1. With a group of 6-8 players split them into 2 smaller groups of 3-4 players.
2. Both groups stand in a line facing each other about 10 yards apart (see below).
3. The player at the front of group A passes the ball and follows his/her pass to run to the back of group B.
4. The player at the front of group B who receives the ball then passes to the next player in group A and follows his/her pass to run to the back of group A and so on.
5. Each player should focus on a good first touch, an accurate pass and then an immediate sprint to the back of the opposite group.
6. Gradually close the gap between groups until it is just 1 yard apart. Players literally will have one touch and they must quickly get into position for the next pass.
7. You can also lengthen the gap to 20-30 yards and have the players run with ball half way before passing and sprinting to the back of the opposite group.

Group Drill #3
This drill is useful towards the end of a soccer warm up.

1. Have the team make a circle about 20 yards in diameter (roughly the size of the center circle).
2. Four players get into 2 pairs and stand in the center of the circle.
3. One pair is nominated attackers the other pair are defenders.
4. The attacking pair start with the ball. They must keep possession between themselves while the defending pair try to intercept the ball.
5. The attackers can use the outside players (who should be alert and ready to receive) to pass to.
6. The objective is for the 4 players in the center to work hard - moving and closing down for 90 seconds. Change to another 4 players every 60-90 seconds.

With a group of more than 12 players, it is better to split them in to 2 smaller groups. In this case only 2 players go in the center and must work together to dispossess the players on the outer edge of the circle who have the ball.

It's fairly easy to design your own soccer warm up. Be creative. Change the drills to keep it fresh.

Warming up before a game is as much about mental preparation and team spirit as the physical aspect.

Di separuh masa pertama ani, permainan di kawal baik oleh FOS FC mcm manutd lawan Barca, promising usulnya di awal 10 min.. eiseh~~ Our best moment during first half ani tym cG-nock dapat peluang untuk score lapas saja cGenie dribble pass 4 kah 8 org tu, hahaha... tpi sayang percobaan nya berjaya disave oleh keeper nya.. Ada tragedi menghairankan tym first halh ani.. palang gol tane te keblakang by few inches, maybe berilmu kli keeper tane atu nda tau lah ah.. hee... tpi klu bukan pasal atu maybe pihak lawan dpt gol nya di awal2 permainan.. Goal pertama pihak lwan memang sukar kan di defend pasal dtg nya dari corner, (apakan dilwan tinggi kli ah~~).. Gol ke dua drg a little bit suspicous lah, nya org dluar nampak offside, since refree org drg so, paham2 saja ler~~.. hee... yatah ganya tu scoreline nya tym first half ani.. 2-0

Tym 2nd half ani tah paling sadis nie.. hahaha... 2goal awal dri pihak lwan membuat kan semgt turun, p wlupun 4-0 ketinggalan awg Musa berjaya membuat goal "SPECTACULAR" dari luar petak goal.. menaikkan semangat FOS FC, namun malang inda bebau.. pihak lawan berjaya membanjiri jaringan dgn mengoalkan lagi 3 goal.. semua pemain merasa hampa.. tpi nda mengapa.. setiap perlawanan ada positive yg dpt diambil.. mcm dlm game ani, jgn menackle sukati2 krg dpt luka nya.. hahaha.. seriously, positf dri game ani passing game tane makin bagus.. gnya commitment saja bekurangan..

Fatigue atau Keletihan jelas terpapar dri semua pemain FOS FC, setelah kekalahan sebelumnya.. Dlm game ani, FOS Fc terpaksa membawa pemain import. Di separuh masa pertama, Fos Fc seperti biasa berjaya mengontrol game.. Namun 2 Goal dari pihak lawan di separuh masa pertama ani meruntuhkan lagi semangat FOS Fc.. Peluang memang bnyk tym 1st half ani, gnya nda benasib.. Padil hampir menjaringkan Goal dri sepakan sudut, GK pihak lwan berjaya mensave dri rembtan luar petak goal cGenie, Cepole hanya mampu melihat bola nya di ambil org setelah passingn canteq dari syukri.. This half ended 2-0..

Tym second half ani, nda bnyk ceta.. hee.. or aku ngaleh membloging.. hee...p Opportunity tane untuk menjaringkan goal bnyk tpi sayang nda dpt di sudah kan.. Peluang2 yg ku ingat saja, cpadil one-on-one sama GK tpi dpt di save nya, rebound nya arh cGenie p atupun di Save nya. Pauji pun ada peluang, shooting nya terkesiring tia jua.. cPadil ada peluang tpi shooting nya nda cleanly strike.. atulah saja yg kuingat.. Eh sama cHazwan shooting nya dpt di save, cZam pikir nya goal sudah, smengat ya berteriak GOAL!!! hahaha... Dlm Game ani wlupun kalah tpi mcm biasa ambil yg positif.. Positif nya tane mesti celebrate goal klu bula atu masuk dalam gawang goal.. hee... seriously wlupun kalah tpi scoreline nya bekurangan.. Hopefully next match scoreline nya betambah arah tane.. hee...

PES Tournament Update (Round 6-7)

Ahad (31/05/2009) "ULTIMATE PES TOURNAMENT" continue... Mula2 sekali aku kn minta mahap sal keaheran mengupdate.. ada yang sampai marah ku inda mengupdate kana ucap bagas *oops salah, bangas.. hehehe cWan tau ni ceta nya.. hehehe..Kedatngan semua peserta di hari yg spesial (sal hari jadi askar) ani sgt2 memuaskan, yang inda dtg pun ada memberi alasan yg munasabah.. hee.. anyway, dlm sesi update ani inda bnyk yg berubah dari hari yg sebelum nya.. chadri masih leading sal rekod manang nya bebalik semula.. cHadri jadi org pertama memacah rule tane memakai team international p di maafkan. Apanya chazwan "bage chance" hehe.. p apa jua gnya sal team selection. since cZam ada hal so ya nda dpt dtg hari ani. kedudukan nya turun dari no.2 ke no.4.. No.2 di ganti oleh cHazwan yg mampu menang kedua2 prlawannya hari ani. The surprise news of the day. cCepole berjaya naik ke position ke 3 dari kedua muncit.. beliau berjaya menewaskan the main title contender cgenie (*setahi, hahaha...) and our rookie player cPadil (ya mengclaim plg ni, hehehe)..cShah nada ceta baru, in fact makin merosot tah plg performance nya. hahaha, inda apa Shah "never give-up".. hehehe.. cPadil & cGenie sama performance nya.. ada kalah and ada yang manang *p yg kalah atu, aku nda kalah teruk.. hehehe.. cNabil berjaya naik dari tpt yg tercorot ke 2nd place dri bawah (spaya lawa cikit).. hehehe.. beliau berjaya seri dan membelasah ajib dgn menjaringkan 5 gol. The very unlucky person of the day is cAjib sal 4 game ya main hari ani, empat2 ya kalah.. wlupun kalah, tpi kalah nya ada mcm2 style.. ada klh teruk, ada kalah dramatic , ada kalah bagi chance (lwn cpadil tu.. hahaha) inda ja jib? hehe.. anyway, here are result and pict:

PES Tournament Update (Round 4-5)

Jumaat (29/06/2009), Our "ULTIMATE PES TOURNAMENT" continue.. Hari ani nda berapa meriah dari hari sebelumnya, namun tetapi penuh dgn gelak tawa dan drama.. hahaha... Especially tym chadri lawan zamanee and zamanee lwn cnabil.. kesian beribu kali kesian awg zamanee hanya mampu sekali mng dan seri, the rest kalah.. hahaha.. bnyk kali dah kami "menyokong" czam hari ani.. hahaha sapa paham bisai! awg. nabil masih mempertahankan rekod nya tanpa manang dan seri.. Common NABIL!! kami menyokong kau!! hehehe.. cshah today malang jua nasib nya 2 kali main dua2 jua kalah.. awg hadri yg hari sebelum nya bermain cemerlang hanya mampu seri sahaja.. Oleh kerana awg zamanee mau aku becerita pasal game of the day ani, beceta tah ku ni. Game between chadri n zamanee, chadri leading sudah 3-0 namun czam memakai motto c shah "never give up"(org yg makai motto ani, ya jua give up nya!!) and ya berjaya menyamakan kedudukan goal 3-3.. awg Azwan yg tym kedtganya tidak memuaskan (dtg aher!!! adakah ku msg "mana ko wan?" ucap nya kami rindu.. miana tu wan? rindu ku lagi org yg nda dtg hari ani.. haha) awg padil dan cepole lagi teruk kdtgnya.. dtg di saat2 kan men bola ptg2.. tpi walau pun bgimanapun di ucapkan trima kasih krana dtg n manang lawan cZamanee.. hahaha.. to ppl yg nda dtg (hazmi n ajib, di kehendaki dtg hari ahad, kamu bnyk game tu.. hehehe) Here are the result of today:

Ahad(24/05/2009) bermula nya "ULTIMATE PES TOURNAMENT" di ubd FOS building. Player yang ikut serta Padil the unpredictable (ckp nda pandai lah, apa lah p pandai jua), Shahalmie don't let him fool you(cpadil dah tekana), Hadri the unchangeable team haha(makai manutd tia gnya, politik? hmmm?), Nabil the quiet and thinker man (nada kamu kdgran ya celebrate, hahaha, dlm hati kli gnya), Cepole the hero of the day(lau nada iya nada makai projector), Hazwan the sick person in term of health(damam) n game(makai ckaka chia gnya) hahaha, Hazmi the loudest of them all(haww nada yg tlawan kebisingan nya, hahaha), Zamanee full of emotional, genie the vandalism man hahaha (ngampas2 meja) and ajib the new guy.. THE ULTIMATE PES2009 TOURNAMENT!!

Assalamualaikum everyone!

Our first activity during the long vacation is "THE ULTIMATE PES2009 TOURNAMENT" hahaha.. This tournament open to all FOS FC player and friends.. Format tournament nya maseh lagi difikirkan sama ada tane mengadakan LIGA or ROUND-ROBIN.. Further detailnya ada ku list kan dibawah.. Tujuan tournament ani di adakan kan gather all the FOS player season ani.. Tournament nya ari ahad.. kalau bleh on the tournament please bring any other entertaintment spaya nda boring menunggu. Hee.. This coming friday maybe tane main saja2 or should i say "training" for the tournament di FOS jua provided ada bilik kosong.. On Friday atu jua maybe final perundingan akan berlaku and to those ppl yang kan join the tournament perlu lah datang hari jumat ani or contact aku as soon as possible aku nda kan me msg2 check saja blog and facebook. In the 2nd half, nada pertukaran tuk FOS FC sal nda cukup urg..during 2nd half anie..FOS FC bmain agak baik compare to 1st half…team opponent sadikit lgi menjaringkn gol tp shotnya agak tsasar nmpaknya..thnx to our CB c hilmie..byk sumbangannya mempressure strikers opponent dri blakang..tidak kurg hebatnya FOS FC..which most of da tym bmain dgn 10 urg (sorg msuk..sorg lgi kluar)..mmbuat attack dmna awg padil hampir sja menjaringkn gol…tp syg skali…shot beliau terkena tiang…hehe…actually..aku p ada chance kn score msa 2nd half anie..eiseh..haha..mistake dri chadri..bulanya spinning msh tym gugur dpn ku..aku pn apa lgi..blast sja tia tanpa mmbuang msa…bputar tah bulaku…mcm gasing laa...hahaha…

C genie nda brapa puas atie 2nd half anie…eya tpksa jdi GK blik…psl c corn injured kna tackle anklenya…so FOS FC tpksa bmain dgn 10 urg lgi blik…d saat2 kn abis perlawanan..bru c aizat dtg..sorg2 hepi sal bmain 11 urg gie blik..tp c gnok kluar sal tuition ktanya..which means jdi 10 urg tia blik…haha..ada2 sja…pruut pruut pruut..bunyi whistle..bkn kantut eyh..wakakaka…bis dh msa...smua urg nyaman atie..hepi…muka byk senyum~~..haha…psl 1st tym manang even tho nda cukup urg…yeaa..keep up da spirit guys..next match bila?huhu..

Fos Fc 2 - 2 TAA

8th April 2009, Fos Fc kembali beraksi di padang A melawan TAA (team abang c Aizat, which apparently team yg pernah tane lawan on our first game using baju team kuning) Back then the result was no win against this team. Prasahan ku this is the 2nd time tane lawan team ani (maybe lah ah).. Dah ku liat balik from previous post rupanya tane seri lawan team ani.. The same result yg masa ani.. Tym hari perlawanan ani nda bnyk pemain yg datang. The first person yg dtg aku, then cyui n padil then the rest of the squad dtg.. Awal sudah dtg p lampung alum jua kana buka..

1st Half,

Hilmi (RM), Hazwan (LM), Musa n Zamany (CM)
Yusri n Yui (Fwd)

Tym first half ani Fos Fc leading 1-0 thanks to goal from Yusri pemain import yg di bawa oleh cHadri. Yusri aka yus pernah ikut team tane from our previous friendly match. Its no surprise to all of us yg pernah main sama iya ani. The same goes to Azim n Aisar. They both dibawa oleh hadri n pernah main sama kami. All the three player n hadri play exceptionally well during the whole match. cHazwan terpaksa keluar dan digantikan leh cGenie disaat-saat aher 1st half sal lactic acid build-up aka "nda fit".. hehehe.. wlupun trpaksa kluar tpi bnyk lah contribution nya doing defending also in attacking. cYui yg well known of his speed and pemajal nya sekali lagi nampak dlm match ani. ada sekali atu ya memubut pihak lawan sampai org atu terpressure abis smpai tkluar bulanya. haha.. Our Defending during 1st half is superb sampai aku rasalah keeper pun keboringan. hahaha.. Ku rasa tym first half ani tane sja control. cMusa n Zamany tu bnyk hold bula dtgh spya pemain lain sedia kn attack. not to forget cHilmi yg ku rasa lah ah ya saja meng-cross bola. The first half ended 1-0

2nd Half,

Khairul (Rb), Azim (Lb), Hadri n Kuji aka Fauzi (Cb)
Corn (Rm), Genie (Lm), Zamanee & Padil (CM)
Cepole & Yusri (Fwd)

In the 2nd half, Fos Fc membuat 4 pertukaran and one of it is the new player khairul. Khairul suppose to be awal dah main tuk tane p maybe ya alum ready. Performance cKhairul sgt2 membrangsangkan hee, a good defender and during the match, almost all of the attacking from our opponent came from the right hand side n Khairul did a good job. In the 2nd half our opponent level the score from a penalty which chadri concede. hee.. Penalty nya dpt sudah di save oleh caisar, unfortunately bula atu drop dpn nya. Fos Fc take the lead again from a corner which taken by Zamanee and score by Genie with a header. From that moment semua player believe yg game ani will ended in victory but our opponent score a late goal when the right winger broke the offside and keeper tane kluar from the line and miss the clearance. The winger cross the ball and the opponent headed in to an empty net. cPadil could have score the wining goal when he got through the defender and only the goalkeeper to beat but he blast it over the bar. The scoreline finish 2-2.

It was a good game for us sal batah dah tane inda friendly n main ptg2. The scoreline doesnt reflect our performance on that nyt. Our performance is really great semua org working tirelessly. This Friday tane start lah main ptg2 lah.. supaya membiasakan balik.. thats all from me..
